Went to see Jacky Cheung's concert a few weeks ago and his performance was exceptional. It was unfortunate he got sick when he came over here to perform, as he really pushed the envelope and sang to the very end, despite the ailment. It was my third time watching him in Toronto and it felt really odd... the audience was really mellow... they applauded... but it seemed like everyone just kept it at a minimum... not alot of cheering and name yelling... maybe it was just the overall age of the audience... being in the music industry for over 20 years... the age of the audience is bound to be older. The venue was also a bit dissapointing... unconfortable seats... narrow stairs to the seats and a really badly designed pedestrian entrance/exit to the underground parking lot... having approximately 7,000 people go through ONE set of stairs to the parking lot is ridiculous... waited about 20 mins to get from the entrance of the stadium to the parking lot (relative distance was about 100m).

One major gripe I had was the person I went with... for the first time in a concert, I was asked to "keep it down" cuz my singing was loud and she couldn't hear him. Was I ever suprised and upset at that request... it's a friggin' concert... don't I have the right to enjoy it which ever way I like? I enjoy singing along... I didn't exactly yell and scream off the top of my lungs, I just sang along with the song like I sing at karaoke... but after that request... I wasn't really happy... but for the sake of everyone else's ears, I kept it down a bit... that'll be the last time I'll go to a concert with that person...

Jacky's new album came out just before his concert in North America and this song is one that I really enjoy listening to: (when I get my server running, I'll post the file..)
